The Mandarin Community Club held an Open House the afternoon of Sunday, November 17, 2013, as part of its 90th Anniversary Celebration. Over the course of the afternoon, an estimated three hundred visitors stopped by to see the collection of historic information, photos, and artifacts of the Club and the Mandarin community on display. Of special interest was the sign for the Kate Monson Well Baby Clinic that was housed at the Club building for many years. Refreshments and a special anniversary cake were served. The first ninety visitors received a special gift courtesy of Maxwell House Coffee, Jacksonville. Members of the Mandarin Museum and Historic Society offered tours of the Old Post Office and General Store and the Ancient Oaks Arts and Farmers Market -- featuring several antique cars -- was open as well.
