Thank you to everyone who welcomed in the holiday season with us at our 4th Annual Mandarin Christmas Tree Lighting event! The community was filled with cheer as Mayor Deegan lit a soaring Fraser Fir with thousands of twinkling lights illuminating Mandarin. We had record breaking attendance and gathered tons of food at our food drive benefitting Mandarin area food banks. The community's Christmas tree will be lit nightly until 11 PM through the end of December.
The Mandarin Community Club will host its annual Wreath Laying Ceremony in honor of Veterans Day on Sunday, November 12, 2023. The event will start at 1 pm in the Billard Park on Brady Road. All interested parties are invited to attend. Ample free parking will be available at the Mandarin Community Club, 12447 Mandarin Road. For further information visit our website or call 904-268-1622. **If you are a veteran and would like to have an active part in placing the wreath this year, please contact us by email. Your participation is welcome** The event is free and open to the public. For the third year, the Mandarin Community Club will be collecting greeting cards for our servicemen and women. Distribution will be through the American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes Program. It is our hope that our members and the community alike will support this endeavor. A collection box designed for this purpose will be placed at the front door of the Club building from November 1-17. Those wishing to participate can also bring their cards to the annual Wreath-Laying Ceremony on November 12 at the Billard Commemorative Park.
