Veterans Day Wreath-Laying

On Veterans Day, November 11th the Mandarin Community Club once again honored those who have served our country in both war and peace times. A wreath was placed at the monument of the Billard Commemorative Park by Club Board member Wanda Bosworth, chair of the Billard Park Committee, along with neighbor and former board member Mark Cowart. A moment of silence and prayer for our military followed. Each year since the park was built and dedicated in 2007 the Club acknowledges Veterans Day with a wreath laying. Commemorative bricks continue to be sold and added throughout the park by Mandarin residents and supporters.

The Mandarin Community Club is an independent, not for profit organization open to all, especially those who live in the Mandarin area. The Club is dedicated to the preservation and beautification of Mandarin, to providing educational forums and enhancing the cultural and recreational life of the area and to maintaining its three historic properties.
