Grab your yard tools and come out and help make this area beautiful again. Only rain will keep us away. Please contact the Club by email or call 904-268-1622.

The Jacksonville Chapter of the DAR, SAR, Color Guard, and the American Heritage Girls FL 1517 are expected to participate this year. U.S. FLAGS WILL BE HONORABLY RETIRED - The Mandarin Community Club is collecting worn, used, or damaged flags for proper and honorable disposal. In partnership with SAR (Sons of the American Revolution) the Club will hold a flag retirement ceremony as a valuable service to our members and the community. This is a moving and educational experience for all who attend as an American flag is deconstructed while the history and meaning of each component is explained. We would like to thank Thompson Ace Hardware for their role in collecting worn, used or faded flags for this event. If you have a flag you would like retired and properly handled for disposal, a collection box will be located outside the Club at 12447 Mandarin Road from 7 AM - 3 PM on Feb 9th until the ceremony begins. Members and guests are invited and encouraged to attend this highly symbolic ceremony. Check our website at mandarincommunityclub.org or call the Club at 904-268-1622 for more information. The Mandarin Community Club will observe Veterans Day with its annual wreath-laying ceremony on Sunday, November 10. Scheduled to start at 1PM, the program will be held within the Billard Park (adjacent to the MCC building). In the event of inclement weather, activities will be moved inside the Club building. This event is open to members and the general public alike.
If you are a Club member and a veteran and would like to be a part of our 2019 program, please contact the Club Office (904-268-1622) or send us an e-mail before November 1. Please note: We will be collecting old, worn American flags during this year's event. They will be set aside for an official Flag Retirement in conjunction with the DAR and SAR at a later date TBA. |
