Mandarin Community Club in partnership with the Mandarin Museum & Historical Society hosted a concert of traditional music by the Philip R. Cousin AME Church Choir celebrating Black History Month. Event took place at the Mandarin Community Clubhouse at 7 p.m. with a full house. Thank you all who came out for the event.

The Mandarin Art Festival committee and Mandarin Community Club members are working hard to prepare for this year's event, including help from our sister organization, Mandarin Garden Club. The Bumblebee Circle will be at Billard Park on March 12 at 4 p.m. for clean-up day. Volunteers are welcome to help join these young members.

The Mandarin Museum and Historical Society is partnering with the Mandarin Community Club in an effort to save the oldest remaining one room schoolhouse in Duval County and relocate it to Walter Jones Historical Park in Mandarin. The schoolhouse was built in 1889 as part of a mission established by the Sisters of St. Joseph in Mandarin to educate freed Blacks after the Civil War.
