Holiday Mail for Heroes Project

10/28/2022

Picture
Due to Tropical Storm Nicole causing an interruption to our Holiday Mail for Heroes project, the Club has extended the project deadline to November 22nd. A collection box designed for this project is placed at the front door of the Club building. To participate in this endeavor, please read the details below.

For the third year, the Mandarin Community Club will be collecting cards for our servicemen and women. Distribution will be through the American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes Program. It is our hope that our members and the community alike will support this endeavor.
A collection box designed for this purpose will be placed at the front door of the Club building from November 1-22*. Those wishing to participate can also bring their cards to the annual Wreath-Laying Ceremony on November 13 at the Billard Commemorative Park.

Please note these few guidelines per the American Red Cross:
  • Both commercial and homemade cards are welcome
  • Cards NOT in envelopes are preferred. If you feel you want to use an envelope, please do not seal it nor write on the envelope itself
  • Please no glitter or confetti in cards
  • Please respect our servicemen and women by keeping messages positive and uplifting
  • Please do not sign your last name or use your address
Thank you in advance for your support.
