The Mandarin Community Club observed Veterans Day with a ceremony on Sunday afternoon, November 8th. Held within the Club building, 12447 Mandarin Road, Club members and members of the Mandarin community gathered to honor and pay tribute to our veterans.
Our thanks to all who came out despite the inclement weather. Special thanks to the American Heritage Girls, FL Troop #1512, honored guest and speaker, Don Chandler, speakers Bruce Scott and Representative Charles McBurney, and Don Reynolds of the NE FL Conservatory for their participation this year. MCC President, Susie Scott, was the program's moderator. The Mandarin Community Club developed and dedicated the Billard Commemorative Park in 2007 and has held a veterans tribute in the Park every November since. Due to inclement weather, the ceremony was held indoors this year with plans for the wreath to be set in place at the Park's Veterans Monument on Veterans Day, November 11th. Check our Facebook gallery for more photos from this event.
